I just found some AA batteries and started a new file in Pokemon Silver.

Right now, I've just got a lvl 7 Totodile. I'm hoping to take a more balanced approach this time as opposed to just raising my starter Pokemon like I always do.

This is actually how I usually play through pokemon games. Usually, I spend all my time raising my first pokemon to rediculous levels, then I catch the main legendary or all three legendary birds in Red/Blue, train my new legendar(ies) a bit and go take on the elite four. Works just about every time, except in Ruby/Sapphire.
