Speakonia is Windows-only, and I'm on a Mac now. What can I replace Speakonia with?

It's indeed a doozy, but those classic Speakonia voices would be nice to have.

What can I replace TalkIt with also? That's the only way to get StrangeClock's voice.

Slurpee

If you want the voices everybody else uses, your best bet is using the real programs on a PC, then sending the files over. I'm pretty sure this is how MrSimon did it for a while.

Otherwise, welcome to the world of alternative software.
WireTap lets you record whatever noise is coming out of your speakers. Use it to record Macintosh's built-in TTS voices.

VCRClock

This is the best program I know of for text-to-speech using Macintosh text-to-speech.
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
