Quote from: TequilaClock;1596671I feel like this will have a hell lot of glitches. Also, wrong forum?

right and wrong at the same time.
see its on yuowhore because it has a video from youtube. but should be in the video game forum because its about video games.

but people lurk more on the youwhore than on the video game forum..... at least i do.

If this works it'll be fun and a massive step up from wii's "waggle stick to win" gimmick. But it won't work because microsoft are faggots.

Also the voice recognition is gonna be fustrating as fuck and the scanning thing seems just like a concept they thought of and have no actual idea on how to make work properly.

I said fuck you at my screen at least twelve times when watching this vid. It's impossible

Okay well:

This concept can be great for some games(as Pirate mentioned, the football and skateboarding, maybe fighting ones can be cool played this way), but it's just dumb for others, like the racing one.
Basically, games that actually require(real) body motion, unlike a racing game.
Oh, and I don't see how walking or running could be performed here. With a sort of in-place running or leg motion, perhaps, but I can imagine you being tired after say 45 mins of that. That makes other genres much harder to play.

Plus as YoYo said, it's weird to browse around menus with your hand.
Not to mention the errors and misconceptions the interface will most probably have regarding motion and voice detecting.

In conclusion, they should either lay off the idea or give the possibility to choose between playing with a controller or with your body.

Running and turning could be done by perhaps your arms swing back and forth. To turn you just swing your right/left arm more than the other.

Or I could just push a joystick, moving only my thumb a half an inch.

I think Microsoft has caught on to what's going to be standard in the distant future, but for now Nintendo his the right idea. I'm not counting sony because their stuff is just a combination of ideas stolen from the other two.

If you watch the E3 videos you can see a noticeable delay between the motions of the player and the video feed. That might have just been due to poorly built video systems but I'm more inclined to think that natal just sucks. It'll never be as fast or precise as the wiimote with motionPlus.

The PS3 one looks good but it'll probably cost $200 each and won't be supported by any developers.
Quote from: MafiaMettaurWhat the hell is with that shit you posted? You know what, I'm joining the Locks, just to stop stuff like you!
Quote from: polyhedronclockYou're a fucking clock, what else do you have?
To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

i want to point out something.
if you get hit in a fighting game, i suppose that the character would make a "im hit" move or something (im trying to explain myself in english, sometimes i found it hard) and, of course, the player wont be hit, so he wont move.

or.

when the guy is changing the tire in the pit stop, of course he could do it super fast, because he is not really lifting a tire and puting it on the car.

i wish you understand my point.

on the

Marlin Clock

If you've ever watched an actual pit stop in Indy 500, that guy was pretty slow comparably.

BluezombieClock

I dont know, but after seeing 'Project milo' for Natal, I'm starting to think this may be the first buggy start in a great future for virtual reality

Project Milo is nothing more than a bit of trickery which seems amusing for about two minutes before you figure out how everything works, shit repeats and you get bored shitless.

Also thank you for bumping a two month old thread for that.

I can't imagine this actually working right. Anyone remember the Sega Activator?

The remote controller replacement is crap. Now you have to wave your whole hand. With a regular remote, you just use your thumb, and with that one thumb you can choose from dozens of options within its range of motion.

The only possible advantage here is lardass control. And that's a good thing.
