I don't see why this is a Jay Leno V. Conan O'Brien issue. As far as I can see in the newspapers it's a talent v. NBC issue. Then again I don't watch much tv other than hockey these days. Shit rots your brain.

leno moved to 10 because it was cheaper than making a show a like csi or law and order or whatever shit is on at 10, said it was gonna revolutionize tv, couldn't compete with better, scripted shows on other networks, huge ratings drop, people werent watching local news, bad for affiliates, affiliates complained, people who turned off their tv because of the shit that leno is didn't turn it back on for news or conan or fallon or god forbid carson daly, basically fucked the entire late night situation, now leno, who is rich as fuck, is an unfunny, safe, schticky vegas act, wants the tonight show back, or at least the timeslot, dude does standup on the weekends for geriatrics (ie his shows audience) conan refuses to follow jay anymore, jay wants conans time slot, if jay would just fuck off and go to another network or retire and just do his standup everything would be gravy, but jay is a glory hog and a whore.

long story short jay is a slimy weasel, he stole jaywalking from howard stern, he stole stuttering john from howard stern, he stole work for your plugs from howard stern, he stole the tonight show from letterman and he's trying to steal it again from conan, he is a fucking piece of shit and does the safest garbage comedy on tv, fuck leno he fucking sucks, i'm with coco.

My mom/stepdad spout I'm a edgy teen things about Conan like, "He's an idiot," because his sense of humor is more esoteric and strange. Since he took over late night they liked him more (probably because he had to tone his weirdness down). But that just shows how dumb my parents are.

Latest news I've seen is that Leno's probably getting the spot and Conan's leaving with a bunch of money. His ratings have skyrocketed, though, and apparently a number of people in Zucker's office want to keep him on Tonight but it sounds like he's being a dick about it. I wonder if the internet will start fucking with NBC.

Conan is 10 times better than Letterman/Jay.

Jay/Letterman are like the Newspaper comics that make you grin/chuckle whereas Conan is like Monty Python which is 60% ok/amusing, 30% boring as hell and 10% hilarious to tears.

Jay/Letterman is 75% ok/amusing, 25% boring as hell.

Dude I can't even watch most of them Kimmel shit it's embarrassing but yeah he rips him a new one.

But I'm glad somebody's really sticking it to him. It's not that I think Jay's really pushing NBC to give him his slot back, I think it's that he's sitting back and letting NBC give him the 11:35 slot when he supposedly retired from it. Step the fuck down, you don't need the money, you don't need a show, go do something the fuck else with your life.

I think that both hosts are excellent at their own respective styles.  To give Leno's show to Conan was the worst decision NBC could have made given that their audiences are so different.  It's not that Conan performed poorly.  You can't throw the best pastry chef in the world in a seafood restaurant and expect the same result.  Unless you like fishy cakes.

To each their own.  I wish neither would quit and all would be restored to normal.
