My name is Christiaan / Chris.
I'm currently 23 years of age and live the in the Netherlands.

Education:
I study applied art and technology which is basically a very broadly oriented (new) media and design education without losing the technical background. Currently in my third year (because i fucked up by doing nothing) i have regained my ambitions and am now specialising in the web technology field.
I hope to be an interactive designer / front end developer when i graduate.

I have been picking up on flash again in the last 2 years, with some heavy digging into as3. The future of flash still seems quite unsure to me so that will not be my only focus.

To relax in enjoy reading, film, drinking and the occasional game. Also i have been getting into shooting sports in the past year. The results are not bad, so i hope that with some more training and my own rifle i can get some excellent scores.

I would like to see how this collab unfolds, and what new and interesting path it will take. Lets not stick to the classic "you animate this part, i animate this part" but lets take some distance and lets think about what we really want to accomplish/spread as a whole and go from there.

wow this got buried pretty quickly,

my name's mike, i pretty much started animating when i joined the cc, i haven't seriously tried to learn flash until recently. i've been studying art quite intensely for the past 2 years, i'm actually in a pretty exclusive art class consisting of 5 seniors and myself (junior) there's only one more advanced class above me which i plan on taking next year, i've also been taking a saturday art class at a local college. with-in this week i started an album of sonic electronic experiments under the psydonym "DJ green_". i do enjoy collaborations although at times i feel i bring the overall quality down a bit. i have an art thread here which i'm going to update as soon as i have all of my recent work together. all my animation is here. i only have one DJ green_ track done and it just happens to be the 16 second album opener which you can listen to here.

I've been thinking about what should be the first step into getting us moving, and i'm afraid my perfectionism has gotten the better of me in the last few weeks.

I've been so busy coming up with the best way to work together, how to get people motivated and how we should collectively decide on matters that i've lost sight of one of my primary goals: just get fucking started.

So here's what we're gonna do:

I'm gonna send everyone who's responded to this thread so far a pm asking them to submit a premise for a 1 minute short animation.

The premise of a film or screenplay is the fundamental concept that drives the plot.

Most premises can be expressed very simply, and many films can be identified simply from a short sentence describing the premise. For example: A lonely boy is befriended by an alien; A small town is terrorized by a shark; A small boy sees dead people.

So the point is to just submit something, even if it's really stupid, short and simple, since it only takes you like 5 seconds.

Then, on march 1th, i'm going to post all the submitted premises and we'll select one which we'll flesh out to make into the script for our first collaborative project.

From there we'll try our hand at collaborative storyboarding

Bonjour, i'm Ben and i'm a 16 year old odd-jobber in a Greek owned chippie. I'm currently on my final year at Secondary school (High School, to you guys across the pond) and i'm studying art. When i get a chance, i'll post the highlights of my portfolio and other shit onto the BBS.
I'm moving up to college later this year to study Media, so i'll be making/editing films all over the place. Hopefully when i leave education, i'll get a job in Directing and/or writing for films or TV shows.

Also i'm gonna learn to play the guitar sometime this year
