So I went, but the whole thing was pretty disappointing. The people from Westboro Baptist Church came earlier than their site said, and they left before 7:30. There were only six of them there, and none of them accepted my flyers, and only two of them provided any reaction to me other than a very stoic shake of the head. One of the two yelled at me just for tapping him on the shoulder, which was pretty funny, but that's about the only notable thing that happened.

There was actually a huge counter-protest turnout, and while I had fun talking to the counter-protesters, I feel upset that if Satellite came, he would have a hard time finding me. I didn't meet him.

I'm still going to make a video, but I only got eighteen minutes of footage, and I don't know how much of that would actually be interesting to watch, so the video will probably be pretty light.

Absinthe mentioned a Harmony award, but I don't want a Harmony award for this. That's not reverse psychology. He was right: it's a tall order. I don't think I accomplished enough. I only handed out a couple flyers to some of the counter-protesters because the WBC people wouldn't except them. I'll show the flyers to my friends at school tomorrow, and if that brings in some members (which I doubt), I'll accept a Harmony award, but otherwise, this was kind of pathetic, really. Nah, that's pretty cool though. It's a shame they weren't phased by it much though. It's good to see that you put some effort into this, and who knows, we might see a few counter protesters with a flyer you gave them come in.
