I redesigned my website, looking for feedback.

I redid my website, using a Wordpress backend, a custom theme, and adding some light jQuery touches to it. It's still not complete yet, but it's far enough along that I'd like to get people's opinions on it. Check it out!

Main thing I'm worried about is I keep thinking I made the font size too big, although I made the size decision after reading several 'best practices' typography sites. I know people tend to be scared by lots of text, though, and I'm afraid the size makes it look like there's more text there than there actually is.

Anyway, what do you think?

I think the font for the body copy is fine... better than having them so small that readability is sacrificed. The ratio from headline to body text is good too.

Don't know about the font for the headlines.. contrast is awkward.. or something.

Underlining links is lame. A color change rollover would be cooler.

It's a custom font, actually. I like the way it looks except for it looking a bit bunched up, now that you're drawing my attention to it, so maybe a kerning adjustment is in order.

Underlining links is not the most desirable (although the same typography sites I read urged I do so - remember there are colorblind people who browse the internet also), but within posts it's difficult not to use underlines (I could probably get away without them in the menus). I might try tweaking it again though. I'm not very good with color themes (I can't even get it looking good when the colors are given to me, aka the social color sites), so I mainly wanted to stick with the three colors, since it does look good to me.

Yes, the type is a bit too big. You want around 11-13 words per line for readability, getting away with somewhere b-n that and 6 on a mobile device. You have to shrink once even to get 9. But I think the rightnav's fixed nature contributes as much. My advice is, make a test page for mobile sites consisting of a nowrapped paragraph and see how many words you can fit on a line and still read comfortably. Then budget the rightnav's space in terms of words. You seem to have picked a width that will keep longer names from wrapping. That may have to go if you just can't spend that many words on it, but cut corners if it looks like you can have both. Try adding another test line of "Neverland Card Battles" to appraise the situation.
