My band The Color Industry did our first "set" last night at an open mic. The sound guy wasn't there so our audio was terrible, you can barely hear me, and the audience wouldn't shut the fuck up, but it was a grand old time. We covered I Can't Make You Love Me.

I liked the instrumentals especially on the solo and like you said you're hard to hear but as far as I can tell maybe you should smoke some cigarettes?

Haha, not enough gravel? I started out as a choir boy and the longer I sing in the band the more I drift towards nasality. Not sure why as my fav. artist is Greg Dulli and that man's voice is straight-up raw.

And Rob, perhaps an acoustic set is in order...

Seriously holy shit. How could you guys even hear yourselves? I would have told them to shut the fuck up and actually listen to the music, you know, like they're supposed to be doing in the first place.

Sweet! The first time I played guitar live was before my friend's band on some guy's acoustic in front of a bunch of shady strangers in a bar. You did a way better job than me.  Playing in a bar is the suckiest and funnest thing to do at the same time.  I ended up playing bongos for my friend's band afterwards for the lulz.

I've gotten better since but here's me at a open mic.
