problem with scattered users

while i was scattered i noticed at random times i would get the `BANNED` flash movie with my scatter ban message for seemingly no reason

i guess you should look into this if it isnt intentional, i dont see why it would be

It's probably because the two usergroups are a type of ban and vbb gets confused or something. I can't be sure of it, though, since I didn't write any of the ban/chill/scatter code. I'll check routine permissions and stuff.

e: yeah vbb is confused with these two usergroups.
It first interprets:

This Usergroup is not a 'Banned' Group
(Setting this to no will cause the group to be treated as a banned group, this will prevent the sending of email notifications, show a banned error message on the permission error pages and other unspecified behaviors.)

Then it tries for:
Can view threads,
Can post,
Can make threads,
etc.

I guess it fucks up somewhere along the way. I'll run a few tests.

From what I gather, chilled users see the ban page anytime they attempt to do something they arent allowed to do (new thread, new post, editing posts, etc). I assume the same happens with scatters.

The ban page is the poor-man's error message.

I don't think anything needs to be fixed, really, but let me know if it's urgent.
