My menu for tommorow

Cooking for 4 people tommorow, just for fun.
This is the menu i made (various recipies from various books / sites)

Starter
Portobello filled with spinach, goat cheese and pine nuts

Main course
Ostrich Fillet served with celeriac puree and a red wine gravy

Dessert
Apfelstrudel served with vanilla sauce

Ok this is how it turned out.

Portobello filled with spinach, union and pine nuts. topped with goat cheese and bacon.
These were really easy to make and quite delicious





The ostrich steak was quit expensive (poulterer) but really really nice. But the best part of the meal was the puree which was one part potatoe and one part small cubes of celeriac, stoved in the same gravy (fond of meat + red wine) as was served with the ostrich.
the haricots verts were cooked, and then strapped together with some bacon and baked.


Sorry i forgot to take a pic, and already started to eat.


The desert was not too much of a hassle, i allready made it during the afternoon and only had to place it in the oven. Still tasty though!
