For fifty cents.

I gave them a five and told them to keep the change.

It might have been legal as long as you didn't sell it / redistribute it, but don't quote me on that.

The music industry had PSA campaigns against recording off the radio or copying cassettes back in the day. They made it seem like some big moral issue. PC games of course had this.
