The closest I've come to crying in almost a decade was at the ending of Mother 3. That is one emotionally powerful game god damn, even hearing the music from it gives me chills. I havent really been able to cry for a long time. I dont know why this is. I can get sad enough to where I should cry but I just dont.

It's OK, clocks who can't cry. You are merely dead inside.
That's not so bad, really. A soulless husk, at least, has place in this empty, apathetic world with a dead God.

Better than can be said for the unenviable living.
Do pity them, or only say that you will, if you can't remember how those empathetic rhythms once felt, in the hollow where your lifeless heart now beats no more. They need it. They need it as you once did.

The last time I cried properly was about ten years ago when my dog died. Music will still make me well up every once in while though. Things that come to mind that did the trick include: Dirt by Alice in Chains, O Fortuna from Carmina Burana and this video I watched of Nico Hoon singing Change with the remaining members of Blind Melon.
The Road is probably my favorite book.

The implication, at least from what I remember, was that it was all kinda a Jesus metaphor. His father died for him, he stays near his body for three days, and then he finds the family and finally peace.

That was the last time I cried. It wasn't immediate, I was like, man this really is a sad ending, and then slowly i realized the tears were coming and I couldn't stop them. I don't even have the best of relationship with my brothers but I guess I was still able to find it pretty profound.

Every once in awhile when I get really drunk. Excluding tramatic random scenarios.
