Me and SCSP just wrapped up a few rounds of Red Orchestra 2, and despite my having barely ever played before, we carried our comrades to the victory that is inevitable to all those whom fight in the name of Strawberry Clock!

Or something like that.

I played a rifleman, he was a machine-gunner and we found a sweet little vantage point right near the front line and managed to mow down a ridiculous amount of Nazis before they got wise to what we were up to. It was great fun.
Hopefully the next time we do it, we'll be smart enough to take a couple screenshots.

It was glorious.

On the last match we were tasked with holding an industrial section against the relentless facist assaults.
In the first few minutes of the german offensive we were pushed back to the train station.
We held our ground at the utmost right platform.
I deployed my DP-28 machinegun and checked the magazine, it was full and I was ready to prove that the russian army could hold its own against the facist opressor.
Rob chambered a stripper clip of rounds into his Nosin Nagant and shouldered his rifle.
We there was no way back.
The motherland depended on us.

Soon after that we could hear screaming in the distance, german officers where directing their men.
Moments after that they threw smoke grenades so they could close in on our position. We gripped our weapons tightly and waited. The assault would soon start.
Suddenly we could see movement in the fade of the smoke.
I openened fire instantly, supressing the enemy that was now dangerously close to the train station
All around our line you could hear our comrades opening up on the enemy.
I fired blindly into the smoke, through windows and throught light cover, keeping their heads down and wounding and killing enough enemies to keep them from psuhing any further.

Rob took aim and picked off any german foolish enough to break cover, chambering round after round untill the facists finally knew they could not continue, not on this day. Not on our watch.

After reloading my weapon, and waiting for the barrel to cool down Rob decided it was time for drastic measures. At that moment a true hero of stalingrad was born.
He charged into an alley, taking the fights to the facist pigs and taking them by surprise. Our end goal was a turqouise building next to the alley, giving us perfect view of the advancing germans.
In awe of this bold heroism I followed him quikly onwards to an uncertain faith, but with strong belief in the end victory for our glorious motherland.

A german soldier approached us at the end of the alley. he looked as startled at us. He quickly dove to cover as rob took a shot at him.
We nodded at each other and quickly readied our grenades. His attempt at shouting to his comrades was quickly silenced as our shrapnel tore him to shreds. We knew know that the turqouise building was in our grasp.

As we entered we could see what looked like a complete german division cross an open field towards the station, oblivious to our counter attack.
I quickly deployed my trusty machinegun, as rob found a position to steady his rifle.
What happened next was pure chaos. In the the few minutes that followed the room whe where in was filled with smoke and spent shell casings as we littelrally mowed down the germans crosssing the field. Our aim must have been guided by stalin himself as we took down soldier after soldier.
We knew that our own deaths must be near, but one does not think of these things when you can save our brothers from being overun at the station.

By now we must have shot down over 20 of the enemey when I suddenly feel a schock. A loud noise and force kicks me back. I feel a pain in my chest then going numb.
As i drift out of consiousness i see rob picking up the DP-28, continueing the fight.
Things go black, but i know we did our part to save the motherland.
