FLOUNDERMAN_CLOCK

ban one bb10 and three more replace him. you cannot kill billiardhydra10clock.

FLOUNDERMAN_CLOCK

also this band isn't unpopular by any means everybody who likes joy division gives new order a bad rap. obviously they can't be AS good but it's good shit cmon. true faith and bizarre love triangle are the best 80s synth pop songs ever. you gotta go into it with different expectations. though blue monday manages to sound kinda like both bands at the same time.

How the hell did we go from talking about Survivor to New Order? They’re on completely different spectrums of the table. You have a hard rock band with an anthemic, vocals based aesthetic and a strip club-esque dance group. I should’ve put in most underrated 80s ROCK band and there would’ve be no argument (Disregarding the whole “BrAyDeN iS tHe NeW Bb10” thing...which I actually found rather flattering.)

After looking back on this thread, I’d have to say we’re both wrong. While Survivor charted in the top 40 eight times, New Order still released THE best selling 12-inch single of all time. Both outfits got the credit they deserved. Nothing more, nothing less.

On another note, Procol Harum needs more recognition. They’re only recognized for A Whiter Shade Of Pale, which sold well, yes, but they had plenty more tracks that are just as good and are THE early legends of prog rock.

Although two weeks from now, I’ll probably find myself disagreeing with this post because I found a new band to like so what the hell.

Because I was. 1989 specifically. If you weren't alive in the 80s then you don't get to say. Thats the rules.

Morris Day and the Time.
I was going to say Dexy's Midnight Runners but this is a better answer

Morris Day deserves so, so much better than to be remembered as Jay & Silent Bob's favorite band and being associated with Prince at one point
