Can anyone recommend a good FLAC to wav converter, preferably freeware? I'm having difficulty finding one.

I think it's going to be hard to find free (legal) software for that.
Can't you play the audiofile you need and record your sound output?

Audacity 1.3.3 Beta can apparently encode and decode it, maybe it can open it and you can resave as .wav?

I tried saving a file as FLAC in goldwave, it allowed me to open it and save it as a wav.

So Goldwave works.
