A more general term for sin is just disobedience to God.  If God simply IS, then all things in His creation are judged using Him as the norm.

I get you, but that's where I disagree with the general interpretation conceptually. I don't think it's possible to disobey or anger God. Free will is just the ability to have perception of individual parts of God's manifestation, including a processing unit in which to make sense of these things that you have free range over. However, some information and ability is kept from us in order to limit us and allow us to learn. By interpreting systems as disconnected, we come to fear aspects of our own being and those aspects seem harsh. This is in fact because of our stance of disconnection. It's not that God's judging us, it's that we insist on doing things that make us wonder about our own worth and our own connection to the whole system, thus distancing ourselves from ourselves and digging ourselves further into a prison of lies.

The thought of Christ living in all of us is an interesting thought.  Before Christ's ascension, he was quoted in saying that he would send the Spirit onto the Earth to replace Him.  Since the Trinity is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the entering of the Holy Spirit into the Apostles at Pentecost was the entering of God into each and every one of us.  Any offense against your neighbor is an offense against God because God lives (or can live) inside of him.

But even beyond that, he said that what you have done unto the least you've done to me. That's during his own time, while he was still alive. What he's getting at, and I agree with him on this, is that we're all the same consciousness to begin with. The Holy Spirit, as a bringer of truth, heals the lie of disconnection. Without the Holy Spirit, the Son would never come to know the Father. The Holy Spirit comes to the Son in the form of knowledge that he is the Father. Once this knowledge is obtained the Christed Son inevitably attempts to spread this information to other (potential?) Sons, so that they might become Christed. Apparently that gets ya killed depending on when you do it, but it won't really matter because you'll know you're not going anywhere.

Sure. Sociopaths don't just suspect that they're not connected to anything else, they're damn sure of it. They won't necessarily become self-conscious, but that kind of shit is certainly going to get them into trouble eventually or at the very least leave them feeling a bit lonely. There's still backlash, but that backlash is only negative if perceived from the limited viewpoint of post good/evil dichotomy Adam. In truth, the entire difference between Eden and not-Eden is the designation of some parts of creation as good and some parts of creation as evil, something Adam was able to do with the power of naming that God gave him. Physically, we're in Eden right now, but we're looking at it in a fucked up way that doesn't do the truth of the matter justice.

If we are all part of the same conciousness then why create? Why have a world to exist in? Why spread this knowledge? If we all (or were) part of some superconsiousness then why break it apart? Why have conflict? Why bother existing?

Why do you talk to other people? Hell, you make up people to interact with while you're sleeping. Imagine how lonely it must get to be the only thing in the entire universe. If all you've got is your own mind, you're going to sit around and play with it, build more complex forms and express yourself in different ways. I think that that's essentially what the universe is, a mingling of manifest possibilities in a sea of infinite potential. If humans are made in the image of God, look to the driving motivations of human beings to see the driving motivations of God

We want to create. We all want to actively make some scenario in the world. I've yet to meet a person who didn't have the desire to do anything. People who just want to drink constantly are creating a specific chemical/psychological state in their bodies in order to facilitate the sort of filters they'd like to have on their perception of their experiences. Part of that is wanting to create more of ourselves, through breeding and also through verbal communication of ideas we identify with (the two of which are more similar than one might expect.

We also want to sustain the things we've created, most particularly our own bodies and those of our children, but also the products of our other creative endeavors.

We long for recognition of our existence, and for the company of others. We also like recognition of our ability to do things well by some standard that we find meaningful.

All those things depend on other people, specifically, other people like us. Different people with their own minds and opinions. Separate people. So we created separate bits of consciousness in order to fulfill our needs and explore our own nature.

Working under Descartes (Aristotle) method:
We exist, therefore something did or didn't create us (ignoring all the potential semantic arguments of the term "creation")
If something did create us, then It must have some reason to do so
If it didn't have a reason to do so, then why bther creating
Without anything other than itself why bother thinking
Withought thought, It might as well not exist at all.
So either there is no creator, or there is a creator that has a reason to create

This idea seems to contradict the position that we are all part of some superconciousness, as it implies there was a superconciousness at some time before, which would aalso imply that before us it was whole. If something s whole, why bother breaking it up only to put it back together again and end up in the exact same position?

To say that there was anything before the creation of space-time is meaningless because it happens before/without/outside of time.

As to putting it back together again, we love that which we create. We're totally lost without it. I think separation always comes with some trouble, but the recombination is ecstatic, but once complete you're back at square one again. The thing is, the closer you get to recombination completing the less you'll care about the shit that happened while you were separated, because it won't seem real anymore. Think of it as a really high-tech video game that sucks you in emotionally but when you're done playing everything's just fine.
