If Bush is a Liberal, I think I might actually side with Absinthe, and his Libertarian ideals. There's nothing Liberal, in any sense, about President Bush. McCain has been known to spout some Liberal ideologies but he certainly doesn't fit the profile either. A moderate Conservative, at most.

Bush is for mass immigration into this country as well as pouring out billions of dollars into third world waste lands.  That makes him pretty liberal in my book.

But of course liberal is just a word now a days.

If you listen to what he says, you'll note he's for mass immigration.  He may have been for building a wall, but he's done barely anything to curb both legal and illegal immigration.  Has he ever called for limiting legal immigration or deporting illegals en masse back to Mexico?  Nope.  Instead he and other wussy "conservatives" have been making lame ass attempts to solve immigration problems (like building a fence) just to make themselves look tough on immigration without actually doing anything.

If Bush is really for stopping immigration like you suggest, he's done an extremely poor job at it, so it doesn't matter either way.
