FLOUNDERMAN_CLOCK

No but seriously you did a good job with the gradients

ChimeClock

the proportions look a bit weird, but yeah, good use of gradients

shit for brains

looks awsome, but the highlights inside the lock bugs me

PecanClock

This is a very bad example of filters.

TremcladClock

Perspective, Salieri! Lines on the Z axis have to originate from a specific point on the horizon in order to convey the illusion of depth properly. If it's something you're struggling with, I suggest you try the 1-point perspective system.

Try to avoid using gradients or filters in excess like this. It's not aesthetically pleasing in any way and it's especially inappropriate on something with a matte black finish, like a domino.

Bigglesnoots

yeah the gradient on the brow bugs me the most

Not your best, instead of adding realism, the gradients make everything blurry :(
h

SnakeClock

The inner edge of the top of the lock should go higher.

Forgotten Clock

It looks a bit color blind...

Have you ever seen a colourful domino?

the one on the right has no filters

SeedClock

you did a good job expressing gradients, but the shading on the domino is still off, it seems the you drew a single color on one layer, and then used gradients to express shading, i know this technique very well because it was my old style.

heres an example of a proper steel domino:

Instead of using a gradient base to express all your lighting, you should use a solid base then work your use of spotlight based off your perspective, since hes facing closer to the left, i would assume that you would want to use more lighting to the left, you can even use some lighter gloss to express this. It will work well because even though your getting a perspective viewpoint, it will give somebody the impression of a front left dimension.

i cant see the picture but i think i get what youre saying

MasterClock

I like the one on the right.  Still could be gradiented better, but I'm no professional at shading so I can't really help there!

lock legion faggot grr
