I am planning on ordering this DVD, it says "THIS DVD IS PLAYABLE IN ALL REGIONS ON NTSC EQUIPMENT", so I assume it would work in my DVD player (I live in the US). I am also ordering Oldboy, which it says specifically works in region 1 (US) players.

Also, on the first dvd, it has this little note:
QuoteURGENT NOTE: For standard (4:3) TVs, you have set your DVD player to think you have a 16:9 set. Failure to do this will result in an odd "stretched" look. If you have a 16:9 set, choose the non-16:9 enhanced setting.
Is this something odd I may not be able to do on a standard dvd player?

And lastly, will I be able to watch these on my computer's disk drive?

Is your TV a CRT? PAL and NTSC have a lot to do with how the electron gun scans the screen, but in modern times, that doesn't mean much.

But your computer's DVD drive should be able to do anything. I use VLC.

Quote from: Franklin G. Hamilton;1438317thats just the aspect ratio of your tv. every single dvd player can change it.

4:3 is standard tv size
16:9 is standard wide screen
Thanks

I read that US equipment is all NTSC, which is good to know. Also good to know my comp can read them all.
