I very much like the background design - but the triangles that tween above it look too much like a single tweening object.  It's hard to look for patterns when there is that one flaringly obvious one spinning around on top of everything.

One way to fix that would be to make two or three more of those triangle-shapes, and having them spinning in their own way over the stage.  It would be harder to discern how the lines connect - and would be more interesting to look at, I imagine.

I like what you're trying to do there but I don't think it was well executed. Try doing what ZL said. Either way, keep trying and you'll get something that looks more like what you're thinking. Funky effects are one of the most fun parts of flash.
