Should we revive TIEM?!

The problem was never lack of content, it was all us powerful editor-types messing it up!

Currently we have a complete issue of tiem that just needs that page-turning mechanism - it's been sitting that way for months and months.

So yeah I'd vote start a new one with some more competent editors!

... and dedicated ones. I could serve as an editor, though perhaps doing the sorting of what to put in, what to take out, etc. More or less an organizer.

EDIT2: I remember Leek telling me that the page turning thingy is not Flash-based at all. Don't remember if he told me Renegade or Pineapple did it. Alas, we could make one from scratch?

I'm indifferent. If you get enough people who can pull shit off, and do it consistently by all means do it. But if we can't get it done consistently it'll just be another cocktease of "Oh that was great, what happened to that?" And here at the CC we've thrown a lot of good ideas out the window. Like the haltman.

If you can get somebody to figure out how it was put together, and get a new editorial staff then definitely. What we need though is consistency, and we need people to be able to hold a fucking deadline!

Furthermore you don't need a moderator's approval to start any project ever. That's the stupidest thing you could ever think. If you wait around for staff approval to get things done you'll be waiting till you're blue in the face. My advice is be persistent about going out and getting the information to get it done, and then get the shit done. The staff are NOT the final decision makers as to what content goes on the website YOU people are.

If anything that might be why the site functions went a little downhill. If you want to get anything done here's what I suggest. You nag the shit out of Leek for information on how to do it, including the format for it... You gather the old articles, you start a thread asking for articles, you get the articles via your PM box, and you get a new team of editors to format the shit on pages. Don't bother with the red tape or any of that bullshit. If the staff is given something as valuable, as a new Tiem, and somebody is persistent enough they'll put it on the site. To do otherwise would be like turning down a free beer.

If you're serious about it then go for it and stop asking permission. If you're kind of on the fence, then I suggest you don't bother.

For that matter, when you guys request something from me, I don't know that I've ever taken more than a week to get around to it. I got Pepper CAD posting permissions like 2 hours after he PM'd me about starting it up.

If you want new Tiem content made publicly available, I can hook you up, maybe even host it on-site. Just ask me.
I'm not 100% on that somewhat cumbersome page-flipper, but I don't ever want you guys to feel that any of your prospects are limited due to staff inactivity, and I'll help you as best as I can, whenever I can.
