This seems an appropriate forum to put this in...

Now I know this guy who has been trying to put this website together where he and a couple other guys can discuss stuff about this old game called Vagrant Story. Evidently, there's more to the game than you can find out about on the internet and he and his buddies wanted to make a website showing all the stuff you could do, detailed walkthroughs, pictures and etceteras and onforth and tl;dr.

Long story short, he knew a little about the clock crew, enough to know that there's some tech savvy guys on the forums, and he wanted to know if I could round up one or two guys that could help him with basically just setting up the website, I think that's pretty much all he wanted. I realize that asking something like this and then saying "OH BY THE WAY YOU GET NOTHING" kinda disinterests people from wanting to help, but I told him I'd at least put the word out.

If any of you are interested, his AIM is: AshleyRiot2006

Yeah.

You do know that web designers normally work for thousands of dollars right?

Here's a do-able plan:

1) Get a CSS template.
2) Get a host
3) change the graphics in the template to new ones to make a new design
4) Add content with KompZer (which is WYSIWYG)
5) upload
6) test

I'm the webmaster of a state library association and I work for nothing. But because I do that, I can say I'm active in a professional organization, which is important for my career.

Coincidentally, today I gave a presentation at the statewide library conference, and explained why and how to design a library web site. I actually did advise that they hire pros when they could, but I know that they don't have the money, so I explained how to deal with having to do it all, and why CSS templates are so much better than HTML alone.
