Quote from: JimmyCarterClock;1589735It's kind of a happy medium between the serious "dark knight" feel of Batman: the Animated Series and the silly "Holy onomatopoeia, Batman!" of the 60's TV show with Adam West.

I for one like it, I think I would watch it more often if I could stand commercials marketed to children.

that's exactly how i feel

I dunno really, I like my Batman dark as fuck, once lightness comes into it I tend to stop liking it. I only really like the humour when it's dark too usually. Like, in The Dark Knight I thought the Lamborghini joke was pretty lame.

This isn't a 100% sound opinion, there's plenty of exceptions, but it's my general feeling.

The characters scare me.
Baby face and his "mommy"?
What the hell?
Also, they fail at being badass.
I mean, what kind of a quote is "The hammer of justice is unisex?"

Quote from: Ribs;1592264I completely understand. This series probably just isn't going to be for you.

I've kind of divided it up into two different categories of batman, Dark Knight and Adam West. One is a traumatized dark person with inner demons seeking to strike fear into the hearts of evildoers by harnessing his own phobia, and the other says "To the batmobile!" and has POW! appear when he hits someone.

Sort of a black batman and a blue batman. And Brave and the Bold is definitely a blue batman. If they wanted black batman again, they just needed to rerun episodes of Batman: the Animated Series because it did it really well.

I can enjoy both kinds. It's why I still like Jack Nicholson's joker even though Heath Ledger knocked it out of the park. Some people can only enjoy one or the other.

Ah yeah well I do think it's possible to like both, I personally just don't really.

As I've gotten older too, I've started to realised I don't think I like Burton's Batman anymore. What pisses me off about it is it's a blue Batman that thinks it's a black one. While absolutely bastardizing some core elements of the character. I find a lot of it irritating to watch now, because it's Burton's arrogance leaking through.

Tonight's episode was heart-wrenching. But I didn't cry because I'M A MAN.

You may be a man, but are you a Bat-Man?
