Your wildest dreams have been fulfilled!

One of the few free mmos that isn't full of Koreans and Brazilians (yet)

If you don't live in north america ignore the "free" part (or get a proxy to make the account with)

This game just left closed beta yesterday.

To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

The Spoiler

I played the paid version a while back, but eventually it got hard to find a party because there weren't enough players. Hopefully with it being free they'll attract enough people for you to actually be able to play. I haven't played the free version yet but paid one was fun so I'm looking forward to trying it out.

According to this: http://www.warcry.com/news/view/94568-DDO-Eberron-Unlimited-is-live

It sounds great. If you really have access to all that in the free version, I'll get it. I'd still like to see an actual comparison that tells us what we get for paying to play that we don't get in the free version. If someone could find that out, that'd be great.

EDIT: found it, this explains the differences of being a free player, a free playing store customer, and a paid player. http://www.ddo.com./vip
It doesn't sound like you lose too much by not paying, but its definitely better to pay, or to at least have bought something in the store.

EDIT: From my understanding the main features you lose for not subscribing, you can pay one time to buy them, and then never pay again. (You can purchase all the adventure zones, bank features, races and character slots) Seems like a good deal. The reason I got into Guild Wars is that you pay once and you play forever, so I could stand buying the paid features for a free account.

Or you can just pay for things when you want them and not a bunch of stuff you'll never use. I don't see myself ever playing a favored soul, but warforged and monk look awesome.

I'm fine with going free and taking limits. I like working within limits, really.

Yeah, I will probably buy all of the adventure zones, the shared bank slot, whatever races and classes I'll use, and I'll get 4 character slots total just for having bought things, I don't need more than 5 characters, so I'll probably buy one extra slot.

If the total for all of those things is under $50, I will buy them and play. Otherwise, I'll see how good it is without those things.

Yeah, the Warforged are pretty cool. My main character was a warforged paladin (great combination, eh?) when I had an account.
