Series of paintings idid

I've been making these in my independent study in school i think they're pretty bad ass.
They're all a series, i don't have a picture of the first painting but it's a guy walking into a cave, so these are all taking place inside the cave, but I used the cave as a metaphor for his mind.  The one with the muscle face and the skeleton was inspired a lot by alex gray ,I thought I should mention that.  They're all acrylic on canvas

I'm not sure about the lighting on the first one. If the white light is coming from the eye, he should be backlit more, so that it's light at the fins and dark at the tails. But if you take all of the color as light source you could have a very cool rainbow lighting thing going on.

The drawing style is fun and developed, but I'd like to see more contrast in saturation and signs of meditation on the palette in general. You do seem to be communicating a strong vision, but it also seems to come from the same state of mind.
