This looks amazing. I was really hoping they'd put out some DLC that ties into the 3rd game and Bioware looks to deliver. Can't wait.

PirateClock

yeah getting this, but to be honest i was more hyped about Lair of the Shadow Broker.

Btw it says 29th, so is it on yet? Cause im not going to boot my 360 if it's not there.

Speaking of DLC  i finished the Fable 3 DLC "Traitors Keep" the other day and it was pretty neat.

It was fun but short. 1 hour of gameplay tops, if you play really slow and watch all the dialogue/cutscenes.

that sounds dissapointing

How much money was it?

560 msp. Was it worth it in the end? Probably only if you are a big Mass Effect nerd like me. It wasn't as good as the other dlc.

I did enjoy killing 300k batarians

Damn, that is disappointing. I was hoping for something more like Lair of the Shadow Broker...

Nah it isn't like that at all. It's way shorter and the story is less epic, and doesn't involve anyone we've seen before/care about besides Shepard.

This story doesn't really lead into ME3 either IMO. It is possible that what you do will be mentioned in 3. I even felt I didn't really get to decide what happened either, and that whatever I said/did just resulted in the exact same response/event happening even if I didn't want it to.

I felt it ended kind of suddenly and was left feeling like was this it???

Still blowing up a Mass Relay and killing 300k Batarians was fun and may cause the Batarians to be mad at you in ME3. However the Batarians have always been mad at everyone so idk how this changes things. I would also like to mention that before I did this the Batarians also hated me specifically for the background I chose in ME1 so......

Don't expect anything decent to come out of bioware until KotOR is done. It's a well known secret that bioware has dumbed every single person with talent in the entire company into the KotOR team in a futile attempt to make it not a huge waste of money. That's why Dragon Age 2 was so bad.

To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

Everyone that played Dragon Age 2 on console talks about how its is way better than DA1.

I haven't played DA2 yet but it sounds like they dumbed it down for the console.

Drew Karpyshyn (SP?), pretty much the man behind ME1's story, had a minor role in ME2 and isn't even going to be involved with ME3. He's on the Old Republic team atm which is fucking bullshit. His lack of involvement in ME2 was disappointing and ME2's story suffered because of it. I'm not even all that excited for ME3 just because of how disappointed I was with 2's story.

BluezombieClock

Yeah my brother finished it yesterday. I found it weird since he bought it like 2 hours earlier or something. His previous DLC's usually occupied him for a good portion of the night and then some

The Shadow Broker and Overlord DLC were great though.

This is very true, and i'm hoping 3 can redeem the series for me and fix what I hated about ME2.

That being said, my hopes for ME3 aren't exactly high. I'll be getting it regardless, but I'm assuming i'm going to be disappointed. It'd be a shame if ME as a franchise turned into The Matrix where the original was fucking amazing and everything else that followed was sub-par.

I watched a stream of it and in the short time I was watching I saw many signification failures in game design. The graphics are WORSE than origins (how is that possible?), some models didnt even HAVE textures, waves of enemies just spawned out of nowhere at all, I saw 5 unrelated quests in a row that took place at the exact same small dock location (each time it was supposedly a "different" location. The person streaming assured me he had seen that same dock room an unbearable amount of times), and the new dialog system is asinine. Also every male character in the game is gay and wants to sleep with you.

Anyway I'm not trying to turn this into a DA2 hatefest, it's just an example of how shitty Bioware is these days. The Old Republic better be damn good to make up for all this shit they're pumping out

Oh, and apparently they took out the top down view from DA2. You know, the view that made strategy actually possible?

Top view is for scrubs.

Or someone that micromanages every skill and has 2 mages, on PC.

The Dungeon Siege games were top down too, and Dragon Age is the 'spiritual successor' to them.

NintendrCkolc

DA:O wasn't even that great to begin with. (Not on consoles anyway)
