VCRClock

it's a picture of a complete stranger I sat next to at lunch
it's drawn from memory (no eye contact + constant texting = no face)
it's rife with anatomy and weight irregularities
sausage fingers

I feel weird about sharing it with friends who were there at the time, so I'ma post it here

drawing people is time-consuming and also hard

<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

I like the folds, you can tell what the material is, feel the picture some. You could probably fix the hand-supporting-body posture just by letting the fingers overlap at the knuckles. Then the wrist would look out without changing where you put it - if you just cover up the separation of the fingers, you can see the hand has a clear orientation. The legs are nice too, with which muscle peeling down the overall shape.

So are you looking at posture a lot right now?

the arm that isn't behind the head looks like it's in a distorted position

It's really nice. Work on your hands though. You can get away with anything if it's attached to some really good looking hands.

Thanks. That's a really good point about the hand... of course, the fingers needed work anyway!

I drew this after a long time of not drawing anything. I was mostly trying to see if I could get the figure down without the model in front of me and without too much distortion, so I worked up from a stick-figure skeleton.

That arm is a little long to begin with... looking at it, I think it might be that the fabric is taut, not loose, at that elbow. If the fold were more like the one on the other arm and helped to define the crease in the elbow, maybe that'd do it. Thanks for pointing that out.
