it was incredibly depressing because they both have clearly aged twenty years in the intervening twenty years, but they dressed them the same? here's this old man's face under a young man's hair

and there was I think one joke that wasn't just a reference to the first movie
comedy has to surprise you, which is why it evolves over time

and when comedy fails, it's worse than any other genre failing

will give it a miss, possibly watch it eight years from now under protest

yeah it's actually kind of a shame, jim carrey's a huge fuckin chud these days

it would have been an epic sequel, to an epic movie.

dumb and dumber was a great movie, with hillarious moments. (imho)

Dumb and Dumber was amazing but I'm honestly kinda glad there won't be a sequel.
Similar to how I'm super skeptical about an Anchorman sequel.

i agree on teh first part: a sequel to the dumbe and dumber might have been lower in quality and in humour than the first movie.
still, they should do it, it would be -at least- kinda funny.

as for anchorman: the first movie was funny, but anchorman 2? I'm a edgy teen! a I'm a edgy teen MOVIE! how can someone find this sequel cool?
harrison ford became a werehyena fighting versus zombies and the ghost of kevin burnside from the old war, while steve carrel screams all the time wielding a futuristic weapon and falling in love with his perfect match. i mean, the only good part in the anchorman sequel was the first hour in it, the rest was I'm a edgy teen. and lame. (the only funny part was the blowing balls+spiders in the van, and some other funny parts in the first hour of the movie.)
