It hardly matters if he's dead or not, because Nolan's trilogy is finished. There's obviously going to be more Batman movies, but Warner Bros. was talking about 're-imagining', which means reboot. Honestly, it just seems like lazy writing to me. 'Fuck, how do we kill this guy off?' 'shoot him' 'sure why the fuck not'

pop-tart

Quote from: Lump Clock;1913502The wiki says Selina killed him, but the rule with these comics are always the same: If there is no body presented then there is no proof they are dead.

Not like he was shot by a .22 caliber or something.. the cannons on the batpod fire explosive shells.

ffff i haven't seen the movie yet
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

Quote from: clammo;1913523he was shot once.........by the same mounted cannon that blew up one of the armored vehicles and a wall of cars

I mean it was just way too sudden without a build up to his death. he was about to pummel batman, and then it's like BLAM, done

Quote from: clammo;1913475well thats because bane wasnt the real main bad guy it was all a ruse by talia. once she was revealed bane didnt really need a big send off, also it was a better way to go than some longer death scene like talia's.

i disagree it looked to me like they were pretty much equal in their villainy. talia covered her end of the deal with the deception and the wayne enterprises/nuclear device stuff. bane was the mastermind behind the explosive concrete (coolest fucking plan ever)/plane jacking/lair under applied sciences and it seemed like they orchestrated most of the other stuff together like the complete takeover of gotham. they didnt undersell banes intelligence. but i guess you could argue talia was the main baddy cause the whole point of their plan was to "fulfil ras al ghuls destiny" and obviously bane only gives a shit about ras al ghul because talia does. hes motivated by pussy, arent we all

the death scenes owned. bane could go out pretty much no other way, batman already beat the shit out of him and gave his ass permission to die, which is cool but batman you dumbass you cant even kill him and he is never going to give up. catwoman doesnt give a shit about killing people so it worked out nicely IMO.

talias death was the best. she just got obliterated, fuckin bounced around in the cab of the truck and then when they go talk to her shes just laying there totally owned with her neck completely broken i thought it was awesome

anyways tdkr was cool i dig it

VuBawlsClock

batman killed the people in the truck
Fuck Steven Universe

batman blew up a temple full of ninjas/ras al ghul decoy before he was even batman

i havent read a single batman comic book but ive read that bane is supposed to be highly intelligent. plus the voice that hardy gave him didnt leave me with the impression he was dumb

i also wouldnt want people to draw parallels between bane/talia and bane/poison ivy because thats a slap in the face

GearBoxClock

Quote from: clammo;1913582maybe its just my own personal bias, but i dont like the idea of a criminal mastermind who is also built like a tank and (almost) unbeatable physically. to me it makes more sense that talia was the brains of the operation and bane was the face of it. and the muscle.

That's what he is in the comics and that's what he was for the first two thirds of the film.

Banes death was so goddamn sudden and disappointing. It really feels like they ran out of time and money during the last third of the film.
