Haha I actually liked that Bean movie.

It's a shame that something so nice was ruined, but when I look at this from my usual view that everything is absurd and meaningless and we're all going to die anyway and what does it really all matter, I find this profoundly hilarious, and have been laughing about it literally all day.

defeatism? not good. i believe that the only good thing that could survive for many years, could be art, and it's noble, and epic, and show us the best sides of mankind.

we still remember the arts in the caves, we still remember rembrand, and we will always remember leonardo, and so many more.

i feel like that philosophy would make it even worse because if i felt life was meaningless and pointless the one thing that would have any meaning or validity WOULD BE like art and music so i would cling to that as my only solace.

Some old people can be the absolutely worst. Poor masterpiece.

haha, yeah, it was the only good one. (the french versions were.. errr mediocre)
but this movie, and the painting scene were funny, i will admit.
