MonsterMunch

It won't pass.

EDIT: Also FYI, the original sign said "Behead those who insult Islam" not "Behead those who say Islam is violent". The "Behead those who say Islam is violent" picture was a photoshop.

SNOPES!

FLOUNDERMAN_CLOCK

behead those who say islam doesn't deserve special treatment

We should just send Randy Savage to beat the fuck out of all the bitchy Muslims.

    yeah
we should have a holy war of atheism
    bomb all the theocracies

TIL AlbinoClock wants to kill everyone who has views different than him, essentially making him a Muslim Extremist

AbsintheClock

I'll go to jail before I obey that bullshit. In fact while I'm at it, fuck every religion that Abraham ever showed up in. Not only should have have killed Issac, he shoulda done himself too and saved the world a fuck ton of trouble. And if you don't like that, fuck you too.

If they were just views, I wouldn't care. It's actions.

Ice buuuurn!

Quote from: RibsClock;1923540Oh no the UN is going to make something illegal nooo

please they can't even outlaw genocide effectively

That's a good point, but there's already effective censorship of sentiments critical of Islam. Look at the recently unaired BBC documentary, or that one episode of South Park with Muhammad. You can't even find a script of Stan's speech from the later. They might not be able to enforce censorship through legislation, but they can and do enforce it through fear. That they're getting brazen enough to influence the UN is just another sign that things have already gone too far.

okay if we're getting some blasphemy off of our chests
am I the only one that noticed God is the antagonist of abrahamic mythology? and I'm not talking about the specific beliefs of a given denomination, but just in general. he claims to be all powerful, but seldom actually influences things in an observable way, and when he does, it's just a straight up act of forceful intimidation. between those acts of intimidation, he claims to be benevolent and all knowing, but he still gets mad when things don't go his way. between the flood and babel, mankind was united with a single purpose and was building a fucking utopia, and he knocked it down and made it impossible to build a new one. can't have a paradise that's not yours, or you'll smash it up? yes that's very benevolent, God, well done.
so we've got a dictator who claims to be benevolent, all knowing, and all powerful, but only shows it through massive acts of violence, and demands complete unquestioning allegience, and makes outrageous claims about how goodness and happiness only come from him? we've had a lot of those types in human history, none of them are the good guys, and rightly so. those are the characteristics of a fucking asshole. why would we look to side with that douchebag except out of obsequiousness and subservience to the winning team? give me a scrappy underdog any day of the week. Satan, now there's a protagonist,

AbsintheClock

Maybe because it was written by a huge self serving dick who wanted to craft god in his image.

I'd rather you didn't

it's one thing here where people will more or less understand that I'm not completely serious

but we must be careful who we pretend to be and all that

AlbinoClock

What part of that isn't serious? It's all accurate.

In that way the story of Adam and Eve and the Tree of Knowledge is kinda fucking badass. God is like, don't eat this fruit of knowledge, it will fill you in on all of the bullshit that I'm trying to perpetuate. And they do it anyway, and God curses them because he couldn't control them.

It was this notion exactly that converted me out of Christianity. Being an eager fantasist, I believe it's entirely possible that there is a juvenile Mega-being with an underdeveloped sense of morality, and if I don't follow his rules, he'll send me to hell. But I got into Christianity to be a good person. I'd rather go to this God's hell and still be a good person, than be a bad one and go to his heaven full of douchebags. And it's also possible that that's all a test by God, and he actually wants everyone to deviate, but you're not even in any religion at that point so why keep track? Will God count you out if you don't believe in him but you still form yourself into a really good person? If he does, than he's not worth believing in anyways.

IMO everyone should strive to live a life like Samurai Jack. Here's a guy who Travels around the world, meets some diverse motherfuckers and gains some cultural context that religion couldn't possibly make sense in. Gets blasted into the evil future, and has a million chances to go back home, but every single time he sacrifices that chance to help the people directly around him. Now that's someone I can believe in.
