Any of you fellas play this little gem? It's from the same people that developed Bayonetta (Platinum games I believe) and they've really made something special here.

Awesome presentation, the usual wacky kojima story, decent music. Apparently it's a bit short but there's a lot of extras and VR missions and what not. Definitely encourages multiple play throughs. I'm having a blast!

I beat it three times (normal, hard, very hard), then gave up on the final boss of Revengence since I already unlocked everything and it felt pointless.

It's a really amazing action game. Probably the best one released since Bayonetta. I also love the parry mechanic, which managed to make the gameplay distinct from the focus on dodging that the other great action games like Ninja Gaiden and the Devil May Cry series. My only complaint is that the parry window is ridiculously long.

As a Metal Gear Solid fan, I also liked the extremely large amount of Codec content. This is definitely my favorite game released this year. The Final boss is especially amazing.

I never used the wigs. Seemed too much like easy mode. Especially the infinite wig, since it gave constant Ripper mode and just destroyed everything.

I beat up through Revengence mode with just the default body and murasuma blade + special weapons, no wigs.

Honestly, I only ran it through normal during a speedrun for shits and giggles. I cleared it in 5 hours. That final boss though is fuckin ridiculous. Arnold governator over here and shit. Nonetheless. It was a fantastic game. Really touched on bayonetta like ninty mentioned just cause the whole platinum games thing. I wish they'd release a better ninja gaiden now that you mention it. Ala Ninja Gaiden Black. That mission mode was perfect.

It is definitely worth playing the other difficulties. This isn't just some shitty game where they just bump up the enemy health on higher difficulties. They actually change what enemies appear, how often they attack, and even gives the bosses and enemies entirely new attacks. On revengeance difficulty you can get attacked by like 3 of those gorilla guys at the same time in a normal encounter.

Now that you mention gorilla guys. That defensive offensive, you cant tell me that's not the best investment.

Yeah, it's literally the only way to avoid getting hit by grab attacks. Beating Senator Armstrong on higher difficulties is practically impossible without excessive use of the dodge.

Perfect parry is even more devastating if you can pull it off, though.

If you don't want to go through Hard Mode and Very Hard mode to unlock it, you can enter to konami code on the start screen to unlock Revengeance difficulty. IMO that is the "true" gameplay experience for the title.

Nah Im definitely going to do that. I ran ninja gaiden black on ninja master mode and fuck me was that a good time. Took forever but great time. Nonstop Infinite Climax on bayonetta was fucking amazing too. Those butterflies come in handy like a mother fucker lol.

IMO the triumbrant of great action games is Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Devil May Cry 3. MGR is a worthy contender, but it falls a little short of those three I think.

Its funny you say that. I just cleared DMC4 last year for the first time and I thought it was on par to DMC3 Special Edition entirely. MGR is definitely a top contender not in a bayonetta sense but because it was just a great over all game. I havent played any sigma games, but I did play a bit of NG 2 and 3 on the 360 and wii U respectively. Not bad but not like the first two for the xbox. All in all I hope the action game genre picks up steam soon.

I see, makes sense. Nonetheless. Yeah he was a fag. But I liked the game. Jester sold DMC 3 to me and leviathan cause its a fucking leviathan.

That last boss fight was awesome though. The actual boss was kinda lame (character wise) but really fun to fight. Probably gonna start another playthrough.

Completion time does not take into account cutscenes, restarts, VR missions or codec calls. Codecs alone add like 3 hours of content to the game. There are unique conversations with every codec contact after pretty much every event and during any fight against a new enemy.

Finished game yesterday and HOLY SHIT IT WAS ALL I EVER WANTED IN A GAME AND MORE.

The new DLC makes my knickers all wet yis.
