Alright guys, all i want to do is fucking play Civilzation 5 and my shitty computer is keeping me for it.

Basically, let me try to explain. Everytime I turn my pc on, it seems to be going fine, but after about 10 minutes the pc shuts down, then restarts on it's own. At this time, the monitor does not display on the HDMI cord setting, i have to press INPUT on my monitor twice til it says DVI in the corner to see the display again.

then a little message comes up saying that I have no AMD drivers, or some shit, and that i can't play any games. Any help from the computer wizzes around?

the obvious answers probably won't be any help, I'm rather looking for someone who knows exactly what the hell is going on, but feel free to list off possible solutions anyway. thanks!

So what the gpu just cant handle diplaying in HD? I mean it's still pretty much HD even in DVI, so i dont get why it won't still keep fucking up. I mean, i have taken off the case of the pc and placed a heavy duty fan by the open pc and turned it on, i've blown out of my, how is it still over heating?

Video card or integrated? What're the specs?

Try testing at lower settings. Use monitoring tools like CPU Z to monitor system temps. Of the game works on low settings, slowly progress this up. After a few trials of this you can determine if it is a heat issue. Alternatively if you installed the GPU it could be an inadequate power supply shutting off to prevent an overload.

this. do this.

also, you can test the CPU settings, and you can put it on the default settings.

does this problem occurs in every other game that you install/play on your PC, or just in civ5?
