so in case you didn't know i'm really young

today marked the end of my attendance to my local establishment of education. it didn't mean much to me and i don't really know how i feel about it being over although i will inevitably look back at it some day in a different light.

tell me about what you thought about school

PhantomCatClock

you will never look back at it in a different light

Sombra

It sucked. College is so much more enjoyable even with the heavier workload. You get treated like an adult and there's very little drama and stupid busy work. Also people are usually there to learn or teach, so there's less fucking around and you can meet other people passionate about whatever you're studying.

I dropped out of college, but it was way better than high school

VCRClock

probably the most valuable things I got out of high school were friendships and a serving of humble pie
probably the most valuable things I got out of college were a few actual skills (not actually that valuable to most employers) and very little in the way of friends by comparison
but then I think a lot of people who went to my college would agree that it was basically white people high school pt. 2

congratulations on doing that thing you're supposed to do, and I hope you are able to use your freedom in a way that makes sense to you
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

After a year of full time minimum wage labour work and next to nothing to show for it, I miss the lack of real responsibility I had during the last year of High School, but beyond that I have no rose tinted glasses for my education. For the most part my teachers were awful, the classes were tedious and infuriatingly boring, and there's nothing to miss in the ways of needless teenage drama.

hella shit youre holy young

EvilBeanClock

well i could understand what you meant

There were definitely a lot of things that sucked about high school for me, but some of the things I got to do were awesome. Playing in bands, going to parties when parents went out of town, driving around for hours without anywhere to go; just glad that we had the newfound power to actually drive a car. A lot of people I knew were really cool, and I miss hanging out with them. When I look back at all the shitty stuff now I mostly just laugh at it, because it wasn't really that big of a deal, and most shitty situations were due to my own stupidity at the time.

highschool sucks, because during highschool, people will annoy you for the slightest thing, you will get harrassed by almost every idiot who thinks he's cool, the teachers will be either good, but not very helpful to those cases, and the rest of the teachers will be useless both in the teaching department and in the humanity department.

the only good thing i got out of highschool was the knowledge that i got from some good teachers who actually wanted to help us learn stuff, and my best friends, who helped me to get along in this horrible era for a child.

college is WAY better. everyone is more adult, and people are more focused in learning than being idiots.
(at least this happened in my college)

k -i raise dragons. here we go -click HERE- i mean click the eggs -and the dragons, until they become  adults.

in high school you learn to be witty and if you dont you get picked on. you need to be clever

Slurpee

when you get to college, you are sent to a large forest clearing with all of the other freshmen. the first thing they do is hand you your battle furs and tell you to get changed. you give the handlers your old clothes. they tell you you will get them back, but by the time they've finished you will not want them back. your battle furs will have an animal motif. sometimes it is apparent, other times less so. it is important not to mingle with other freshman of the same motif. try to figure out what your motif is. brush up on your taxonomy. perhaps you are the common land fish?
some of the freshmen will wear masks, but it won't be you. no instruction will occur for three weeks. no instruction will occur for three weeks.

Another cool thing about college is you'll sometimes be the same age as your teachers, and every once in a while, you will be as cool as your teachers. This is not to say either of you are cool. This was my final for Stagecraft (I was the only person there who wasn't a theatre major)

Yeah, I know, "MORE LIKE NERD CLUB" but I can prove it was a final: if you look closely, one of those people is female.

AstronautClock

life is the best school and I am sad I learned that after I graduated college

AstronautClock

I would have made money without diplomas is what I'm saying. you just have to know people and be smart
