Seriously tho what's happening

VCRClock

<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

I banned him

wait for real?

there's no difference with this layout i cant tell

PhantomCatClock

Yes, I too love to spend two weeks out of the year on the forums then be holier than current events affecting people who are always here. For bonus points, I'll call the other people involved pretentious.

Also, VCR, there may never be a point where it feels like you did the right thing and maybe we'll never actually know, but it's still a huge relief. I never actually said this but I feel like the higher ups could've checked (no real reasonâ€"I'm just paranoid) but as much as I like the guy as a person, I voted yes every time the polls came up.

Heard about this today from da swords man himself, and I have to say I'm surprised this actually happened.

He's been fairly upset about it and just blaming three people (Nintendo, VCR, and ROB) and the only explanation he told me was that they said he was a bad influence on the "art and social status" of the clock crew (which is a good fucking joke, by the way), and that he's going to make clock shit regardless of his ban, which may still keep him as one of the most recognized clocks to non-clock members, unless there is a sudden grand consensus among everyone else to never use his character in a Flash again.

I haven't been around all the time these years, but surely someone actually tried to explain the social environment he was in? I'm assuming he was (he's been around for what, at least 8 years? fuck) and didn't listen out of his own delusions, but I still hope the final message just laid down everything on why he wasn't wanted around once and for all. Whatever handicap he probably has, I just hope he was given a fair explanation for his banning and behavior. I understand the consensus for banning him but since he didn't do something blatantly wrong like Rupee did it's unlikely he'll be capable of understanding unless told in the most humanly blunt way possible. I want this so BB10 can be able to move on, which will not only lead him to happiness but you guys to chill.
if there were two guys on the moon and one of them killed the other with a rock that'd be pretty fucked up wouldn't it?

PhantomCatClock

The first time I heard that argument was about two weeks ago. He really thinks that was the reason for it? It is kind of cool to hear he's going to make Flash anyway. It's like knowing your dog actually is on a farm somewhere and not just dead. Lots of NG users make Clock cartoons without ever coming to the forums. Not sure what to say so BB10 can have peace (which is probably the reason this took so long to happen in the first placeâ€"I'm sure I'm not the only person worried about him) but I'm pretty sure we're in a good place here. I was convinced that anthem was going to be the last bump in this thread (whether or not it got goldmined)

Here's the thing, when BB10 first came here I think we all genuinely felt like it was some kind of funny joke/too good to be true/whose alt is this. Like, here's a dude that would never have survived previous iterations of clock crew culture but somehow managed to do so in spite of himself. His posting style was that of a 13 year old. He consistently referenced old out of date memes. He was entirely too active in the community. His flashes were terrible but in a hilarious, no way this is for real way. Like this was the only thing he had going for him in his life. He just seemed like one of those annoying fan/poser clocks that used to flood newgrounds in a bygone era.

In some ways, I think BB10 reminded me a lot of myself when I first joined. Naive, annoying, socially incapable of understanding why people found me funny/annoying (more so annoying on my part. BB10, on the other hand, was just made fun of behind his back). Over the years though, as with anybody wanting to "fit in" I tried to improve as best I could. I managed to make a few friends and better yet I made some semi-decent contributions to the website and newgrounds. There have been numerous clocks who have fit this mold. People who come in, some or all in the community are sort of annoyed or uninterested in them, but over time they improve in one way or the other and find their place here.

BB10 never improved. He's literally the same person he was when he joined. He was coddled by some of the better of us instead of universally flamed/trolled to death like those of us who joined years prior. Therein lies the problem. His flash hasn't improved, his posting hasn't improved, he's harassed and in some cases stalked old members which has in turn potentially prevented some people from wanting to come back/leaving, he just needs an extended break from us I feel. He needs to take some time and focus his energy on something else. Be it a social life, video games, improving his flash skills, joining and contributing to other online communities, getting a job, whatever. This community is great, I get that, but BB10 is far too fixated on it for his own good. (See Trops Clock Day flash)

If anything, his perma-ban will do him a favor. I think in time he may have a place here, but for the time being, give it a rest. Let us breathe and in turn, take time to breathe yourself. Preferably through your nose.

I don't even see what the big deal is. He clearly doesn't need us anymore.

That is the funniest thing I've ever seen.

I really am sick of talking about him, and I swear I won't bring him back up myself, but dear lord. I didn't know invisionfree still existed.
