what's up

I was working on this in the dumbest way possible, lost interest, and never followed through

now I am working on some other hobby shit that I want to be done, but I can't say I'm really enjoying working on it, because I keep going at it (inkscape drudgery) for like 15 minutes before I start looking for a distraction, like posting on the clock crew forums or spamming the fucking discord. I'm definitely less than 50% done, but I don't want to leave it abandoned for months like I did last time

in fact I'm working on another project too, but that one's easier to do and I really want to get this one out of the way

what about you?

are you working on things?

I have forced myself to draw for "at least" one hour per day and, after instigating the rule "no youtube without drawing", very very very very very very easily found time for this (usually 2.5hrs but as low as 1hr sometimes) and will continue for the rest of my life because holy shit I sure do have room to improve

an unfortunate side effect of this is I no longer have time to tug it every day so something's gotta change

RobClock

i got all the drywall up in the living room and purchased some cupboards for the kitchen so now i just have to put up two more sheets of drywall and then i can install the cupboards and the fucking kitchen sink finally but the inspection on the truck i bought in February is up at the end of the month and its going to require more body work than it is worth to keep on the road so im going to look at another truck today and then sell the one i have as a parts truck/fixer upper

i still havent started on my halloween collab part life is busy man im sorry

just posting here to "i told you so," it's the spam forum, deal with it

finished all the heavy lifting two days ago
didn't do shit yesterday
gave my file the once over and spit shine today. done!

all that remains is the production phase, after which I'll have another box of product nobody cares about in my closet

just like all my heroes

hey the website says i'm 54% done with COURSE I DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT THAT MAY BE A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY BUT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME

i started it because while i kinda like the work i do right now, in this dread kinda way i think i'm gonna need more money than my current job will lead to to ensure my own survival down the line. unfortunately i also get the feeling that this course is not necessarily really gonna get me a job, especially not one i actually want to do, in my heart. so it's been very easy to fall off the wagon for a week or two at a time. but i put in some work on it today

---

other project i do care about: stage two zero percent ??

working on a zine that's sort of in the masala noir realm. paid for a stack of physical printed matter, have looked through it for good bits (stage one), decided i needed a better scanner for it, scanner has arrived, now i have to scan dozens of pages and then sort through even more digital images and lay the thing out. i feel chances are good i'm not gonna abandon this, but i think it's gonna be a lot of work. haven't started scanning so i don't really even know how long that stage is gonna take. worth it at the end? well no i'm fairly certain i'm not gonna recoup on the investments but we'll see how i feel in a few months

progress:

- took an indefinite break from the course I don't really want to do, to work on the zine I really wanted to get done on time

- got a zine done on time, great success  there's actually so much material to work with for this project that what I've done is just a first salvo, but the important thing is I'm going to have something presentable

- the plan was to now go back to blowing all my free time on stupid course. it's actually kind of depressing to realize how much I don't want to do this shit. at least (due to a surprising coincidence of unrelated forces in my life) I'm not losing too much money on it
