It's clockday. The wife and kid are gone to grandmas for the weekend, and I have the house to myself for once. Saw the date. Thought I'd check in.

About 21 years ago, my cousin introduced me to newgrounds. Not long after, I discovered the clock crew. Not long after that, I found my 13 year old self sitting on my family computer (an HP Pavilion with Windows ME), all summer long, 2003. Classmates were out enjoying their summers while I sat on the newgrounds portal voting 5 and posting on original .cc. I became shockingly pale, as was quickly pointed out by personal friends as we came back to school in the fall of that year..

"Did you go outside at all?"

No. I didn't and I loved it.

From this point forward I found myself almost chronically online. I was hooked. Maybe it was autism. Idk.

Now I'm in my mid 30s with responsibilities and gray hair and to perhaps triangles delight, if he's still alive anyway, I too, am now balding.

Life is going faster and faster every year. That being said this community and what once was still has stuck with me all these years later. I wonder how many people feel the same, like here's this weird little sub group off a dead website that had an impact and meant something to me, even now. More probably most people who donned the title "clock" barely even remember doing so. Then there's those of us who stuck it out for the long haul.

I don't check the discord much. Looks like this place isn't too active these days. I guess it makes sense. I think like me, a lot of you have gotten much busier. In hindsight that's probably why a good amount of clocks have disappeared over the years.

That and things inevitably get old after a while.

I find it interesting though, to this day, and every year since, that 8/15 still brings back memories and seems like a real holiday.

I hope you old bastards are doing ok, no matter where you're at in life or how its probably disappointed you. Thanks for being a small part of mine anyway.

The butthole collab was a good idea btw. Missed opportunity.

Happy Clockday.

I should have spent more of my teen years on internet forums and neopets instead of going outside also happy belated clock day nintendo! good to see you pop in.

FLOUNDERMAN_CLOCK

just re-read my post and realized it sounded more dismissive than jolly and shitposty so I wanted to say I feel the way you do and every second on this forum mattered and shaped me as a person.

FLOUNDERMAN_CLOCK

also korbat's lab on neopets was the best breakout clone ever made.

PhantomCatClock

I definitely didn't get into neopets until i was at least ten but i remember barely being able to type the cheats fast enough to get them off before dying in korbats lab
