youtube added a little button to the mobile site that I didn't know what it did. it turns out it summons the a.i. butler to answer questions about the video? for some reason?
against my better judgement, I succumbed to curiosity and fed the machine
(a story in three parts)

part 1:

part 2:

part 3:

✅ the a.i. SUCCESSFULLY vaguely described the contents of the video
✅ the a.i. SUCCESSFULLY identified the phrase "it's gonna be great" being spoken repeatedly
❌ the a.i. FAILED in identifying the phrase "that's great" being spoken
❌ the a.i. FAILED in identifying the phrase "that's gonna be great" being spoken repeatedly
❌ the a.i. FAILED in identifying George Lucas and Steven Spielberg without assistance
❌ the a.i. FAILED in identifying George Lucas and Steven Spielberg with assistance
❌ the a.i. FAILED in recognizing that the source of this semi-obscure meme clip was a popular youtube video with millions of views that received press coverage and film festival screenings
✅ the a.i. SUCCESSFULLY intuited that "Res Letter Media" was probably a typo for "Red Letter Media"
❌ the a.i. FAILED in responding affirmatively when presented with incontrovertible evidence in the form of a link and a timestamp indicating a popular youtube video with millions of views where the clip was famously used and asked if the clip appeared in that youtube video
✅ the a.i. SUCCESSFULLY said "you're welcome" when thanked

conclusion: this a.i. is currently on track to fulfill the very real and not stupid and made up at all function of watching 3 second youtube videos and describing them somehow both vaguely and incorrectly

telegram has an ai button that only shows up AFTER you've typed a message, but before you hit send, and it's... for a message you already wrote?

sometimes i have to load a browser with no add-ons or settings and i'll respond to google's ai stuff with 'fuck off clanker' and it apologizes and says it'll disable itself and leave me alone (it does not)
