Well the Bauhaus managed to adapt the game to a song, so I think an animation would be possible.

Even so, any collab could be considered similar to an exquisite corpse, because most collabs don't have a linear storyline or any continuity besides a simple theme or something.

Not once, but twice. And the differences between a regular collab and this one is that everything, including the graphics and storyline, are made using the format, and that a regular collab starts with some kind of generally agreed upon storyline or basis, whereas all you have to work on from part to part is a tiny bit of what the last person did.
