I actually have a distinct thought that this is another Connect to DS game, and it'll pick up your AC character for use in the game; if not a default will be set.

So yeah, the AC based character might just be the main one.

Much as I love Metal Gear, I'm not so sure about Snake. Sneaky tactics don't seem like they'll be enough to tangle with some of the other characters. I mean seriously? What kind of attacks will he have? Guns and melee attacks, and grenades don't seem very deadly when looking at past SSB games.

Also anybody notice that Snake isn't under http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/index.html

They said that he won't be using guns. He'll be using a lot of knifes and explosives. He well get rocket launchers and such though. For most of his attacks he'll likely end up like Samus with punches and kicks that have nothing to do with stuff he did in other games.

Also they only add people to the dojo list once they've had a page made on the daily updates. It doesn't matter if they're confirmed in the past.

You mean all of the characters?  The majority of the normal attacks and a lot of special attacks are not grounded in in-game moves at all.

No I'm pretty sure the trainer stands in the background where no one can hit him and you'll essentially be controlling the three Pokemon.

No, what he does is has 3 pokemon that he can play one at a time. At any given time you can be either Squirtle, Ivysaur, or Charizard. You use b down to rotate

He could either jump around the stages or more likely get some sort of floating platform. Or sit on a flying pokemon
