I always knew Dedede would make a perfect character and now its confirmed! Another of my favorites so far.

If I'm correct, Link, Roy, and Kirby were on the Middle-to-Lower teirs in Melee. Marth, Sheik, and Fox were owning everyone.

i always thought that link was a bit overpowered, his smash attak had a huge range and damage
and his A+down attack in the air was also very powerful

Yeah but Link is a pretty slow charcter is attack speed. He may have a punch but takes a bit more to execute. That without saying the hookshot, bombs and spin attack. Powerful but slow

King Dedede is 50% belt.
With Bowser and Dedede, I wonder how many other villains /badguys /endbosses we'll see playable. I mean, Dedede seemed... farfetched, somehow.

Ganondorf must appear, hoping its his Twilight Princess incarnation (Dark Beast Ganon as Final Smash? Sounds good.)

King K. Rool?  Hell yeah. Final Smash could be a moddafuggin pirate ship of sorts. Or cannons. Many cannons.

Mewtwo can / should return, proper villanous Pokemon, there.

Eggman / Robotnik, perhaps in his Egg Walker from Sonic Adventure 2... though maybe that'd make him too big. Metal Sonic / Shadow would be good 'evil' counterparts to Sonic too, but they can do that with costume changes. Too easy.

... Ocelot?

I would cream myself if they managed to put Ridley as a playable character. Granted, they'd have to resize it, but it can be in a normal proportion compared to the others.

You know, kirby is only meant to be 8 inches tall anyway, he's certainly bigger than he's supposed to be anyway.

But even if Ridley was given the same excuse, I don't see him being a viable character for brawl, he would more likely be a boss for the adventure mode.

In Kirby 64, he goes to a "slightly" familiar looking planet thats been frozen over, and enters a building. In the building, theres furniture thats clearly only slightly bigger than him. Because of this, I actually think Kirbies a little taller than 8 inches.

But otherwise Samus is the only character from Metroid and she's all lonely and stuff.

Dedede can do many things Kirby too. Like float, suck (literally of course) and... well the hammer was more adapted from him but you get my point

Owned Kirby's Dreamland, 2, Kirby Super Star, 64 and Amazing Mirror, and I think Dedede is a really cute villian and pretty awesome, too.

Correction, and time for some really nerdy SSBM facts you don't really need to know. The tiers had little to do with skill of the person playing the character, and it was based solely on popular use/tournament use. Link was in the middle tier, Roy at the top of low tier, and Kidby in the middle of middle-lower. Shiek was right under captain falcon at High tier, while Marth, fox and falco reigned supreme.
 
As for DeDeDe, I kinda predicted it, and it's really cool that he's in it. I'm going to love beating on him.

Ridley, I honestly have barely played Metroid in my life. In fact have never passed through one completely, so I can't enjudge why not.
 
King K. Rool is.... meeehhh... I dunno, he is a highligting character but I don't qualify him for playable. Maybe as a boss.
 
(either Dixie, Kiddy or Rambi would be interesting as assist trophies)
 
I really don't like the Eggman idea at all, maybe only if its not that ridiculous.
