Friend went to Katsucon up in DC, just got back tonight.  Said that they had an import of the Japanese version up to play:  Trip report says that Pokemon Trainer is broken as fuck and can destroy anyone

Played it for 2 hours today, and I must say, it's fucking amazing.

Is it just me, or are the only Pokéballs Piplup, Torchic, and Wobuffet?  The only Assist Trophies I got were Katana, Lin, Goroh, and Andross.  Do you have to unlock Pokéballs and AT's?

Also played as everyone except Ness/Lucas and Olimar.
