Yet another "Simple platforms, REALLY nice background" stage, but fuck this is a nice stage that takes advantage of the system clock. :D

I REALLY hope Totake's Song (K.K. Song) gets in there, that would be the best fucking thing ever.

DillClock

Nintendo has really outdone themselves this time, i'll be playing this for weeks when it comes out.

AdrenalineClock

Seriously, are there gonna be any stages that are actually interesting to play on?

Pumpkin Clock

You can start reserving it today. I'd advise everyone to put go do that, even if you can only put down 5 bucks.

Munglai

They need more stages that are interesting shapes and stuff rather than all these flat ones. This one's nice none the lessss.

Pin Clock

Say, anyone Notice that Smashville has the Logo of the Game it's from and Dr. Wright Doesn't.... Maybe an Animal Crossing Charater is added? And I agree with the KK Song, that would be the best, though he's probably going to play random songs of his...
if there were two guys on the moon and one of them killed the other with a rock that'd be pretty fucked up wouldn't it?

RupeeClock

Yeah, it's an interesting point to bring up but I think the icon just exists because of the significance of the stage, I don't know if it means a character will get in.

Losperman

Great update, everything looks swanky. But I hope that's not how Animal Crossing Wii is going to look. After the GC and DS games, they really need to do something new.

I don't even know if they'll use the character, but the same can be said about Yoshi's Story End with the egg and Samurai Goro with Capt. Falcon's Logo. I don't know how they'd utilize an Animal Crossing Character, though...

You could chop people with your axe... or, uh... fish them. Or something.

Poltergeist

Damn, this stage RUINS Nooks chances of getting in (he's in the background there). He could have been pretty interesting, butterfly net up special that briefly keeps your opponent in one spot, axe, fishing rod graab etc.

Also, totoke's song HAS top get in this.

VERY unlikely, this looks as though to have been designed to look like the DS version.

The GC version's graphics were poor because it was designed for the N64 originally then ported to the GC, whilst the DS looks somewhat blocky because that's how powerful the DS is.

...But you know what, I'd actually rather than the Wii version would have poor graphics with visable polygons, because this unique appearance is one of the things that makes Animal Crossing REALLY stand out.

Yeah, but it's also what made the DS version so dull if you'd played the GC version. I had already cut down those trees, dug those holes, caught those fish, etc. I'd like more detailed graphics/environments, more varied character design, and a different perspective (fully 3D, maybe?). I think it would make the series exciting again. I don't want the GC version with a few new fish, bugs, etc. and Wiimote functionality.

AMPEEEM

Animal Crossing character:

You could edit his face and clothes somewhere in the options.

He would have axe and shovel smacking abilities. Some other stuff, I don't know, they could pull it off, and what with the nature of this game being really surprising, I think it could happen.

Too bad, probably.

Nah, it'll be cool.  I wouldn't expect good graphics though.

TequilaClock

Wow this is a realy cool update. I love the interactivity with the stage planted here, as time pases the background activity changes, and people ask me why I like Nintendo.

Somehow I knew Animal Crossing would participate in this game.

Schwep

Is this a moving stage? The background's in different positions in different screenshots. Edit: I think I was wrong.

Do they actually?

Yes they have really done, most of my friends are Sony and Halo fanboys and go like "join our side".
