if there were two guys on the moon and one of them killed the other with a rock that'd be pretty fucked up wouldn't it?

Gig Bag

Also including the fact that every single monitor in that room in the pic has to do with Metroids, seeing as this is Samus' story arc.

Well. I like it.

Don\'t you?

Poltergeist

I'm betting Peach will be mondays update.

In terms of graphics, I'd say Mario Galaxy and Umbrella Chronicals look best so far.

I'm getting too excited about this game I forgot its release date. December 3rd....

Anyway, I'm hoping the strange bob-omb-like creatures are characters. We've seen original Nintendo characters, but original characters in the game would be the great.

They look like the common easy enemy but who knoes? They might add them as a secret character.

Remember how goombas and zombies and such were in the action/adventure modes of Melee?  I think those things might appear randomly in battle as items like it sometimes happened in multiplayer games.  It could happen.

Actually those things did pop out occasionally in multiplayer Melee. ReDeads would very rarely jump out of a crate or barrel and you cold knock if off stage.

On another note, adventure looks pretty good from what we can see. Pretty odd characters for the general evil guys. Like, the original Super Smash had those metal dudes, Melee had wireframes (still pretty sensical) but these just kinda look weird. Hmm.

Peach occasionally pulls them out instead of turnips.

Yes, that too.

And Toad. Haha toad. Being the victim of Bowser's fire breath and Samus' constant missiles. That would suck. Being a shield in general sucks.

That's what that conversation was about, yes.

Tequila posted some pic he found on the NG BBS where one of the screens in Samus' cutscene shows an image of a sonic emblem, excpet that was edited, and The real one (Zoomed out and in) is a bit darker blue then the fake one.

Why the hell would Sonic be in Samus's cutscene? That doesn't even make any sense.

Some games actually show weird cameos on their backgrounds. For example Mario, Luigi, Toad and Birdo appear in a minigame in Kirby Superstar. there is this other racing game that puts Kirby in some signs along the circuit.

It could happen but approving that the Sonic picture was fake, gives me back the breath in this game.

Well, it would make sense that Mario would appear in a Kirby game, since they're both Nintendo characters. Sega's Sonic wouldn't appear in a Nintendo game, since they're two different companies

Oh yeah. Something I'm not really happy about. They made the characters all the same way, meaning they look like they belong together, and judging by the story mode they're making them actually belong together. That takes away from what Smash Bros was originally about in my opinion.

The way I saw original Smash Bros was that the master hand represented the hand of a casual Nintendo fan. Placing his favorite characters together for the purpose of having them do what he pleased. However, in Brawl, it appears that they're creating another universe and giving it an actual story of it's own, which could lead to every future Nintendo game having insane references to other games. For example, a Mario game where you actually meet up with Kirby. Or, a Zelda game where at one point you have to collect something from a lowly mustached Italian plumber (god forbid).

TL;DR:
These characters don't belong together, and that's what had previously made the Smash Bros series so interesting. However, it looks like they're trying to make them belong together in one universe. That doesn't seem right to me.

Also in the original the charcters were plushies, they changed to trophies in Melee

Plushies > Trophies

Konami's Solid Snake wouldn't appear in a Nintendo game, by your logic.

Edit: Also, don't forget Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games.  That kind of says a lot about the cooperation between Nintendo and Sega.
