First of all, Goatse is a shock site. What she became was shocked. Lambda needs to explain to her the simple fact that what was intended to shock him instead shocked her. Well I can offer you a semi-serious answer, if that's what it takes to get this thread back on the track of humor.  I've been interested in art/animation since I was very young, and had joined the CC early in it's life out of my interest for digital animation and the CC's ingredient of humor.  Currently in my life, I don't hang around on the internet and chit-chat about games or youtube vids on various sites, but given that I've been apart of this community for 5-6 years and it has helped me grow tremendously in certain artistic fields, I'd like to stick around, since it's still a group closely based on my interests, not to mention a place for me to keep occupied when work is slow.  If you're sincerely suggesting that a 21 year old should be by default, mature, my guess is you haven't really had too many friends, or at least ones older than you.  No, I am sorry, but we don't sit in a circle drinking tea and discussing the last book we've read.  I insulted you in this particular thread because you're the evidence of decay on the clock crew.  A guy who can't accept tasteless humor, a foundation of this fine establishment.  It's the reason I was banned for a year and it's the reason others have been getting banned.  I hate the idea of this becoming a playground for bored 12 year olds who don't have anywhere else to go so they come here regardless of their interests.  I like to think that my aggressive attitude has the ability to help them stray away from here as their babysitter.  But it is true that I don't contribute anymore, and I really have no intention on doing so.

Now may I ask why a conservative, military obsessed, 18 year old is hanging out in an online community based on liberal humor he can't relate to and chatting on the phone with a troubled 11 year old?

No I don't think we have. While the issue has been addressed I do not believe we have quite discovered just how ignorant this woman truly is. What we need are more facts. Other situation where this woman has been stupid, preferably a video documentary.
