How will you do your taxes?

All my W2's are in, so I guess it's time.  If you're using a certain site or service, which one?


This is my first real adult-life filing, so I'm nervous.  
I plan to do my own using H&R Block's website-- but I did live in different states last year.  My dad says I should go hire a real person, but I'm too cheap.

and if you are gonna use it outside the country you can ask for your tax refund on the airport.

My parents do that  because my dad is an accountant so it would be a bit dumb if i tried to do them myselfs considering he knows every loop hole there is to get me some money back.

We are not talking about sales tax. But rather the taxes you pay on your pay check, or as they are called, Income Tax.

But to answer the question at hand. The last 3 years we have used my brother's ex girlfriend's mother to do the taxes. Cause she is a tax person. But I've had my W2's since about Feb 3rd and no one has yet decided to want to go give her all the paper work so I might look into going to get them done some where else even if it costs me cause waiting sucks. The person we get to do them does them for free. My parents just usually take them out to a fancy dinner as payment.

I decided to TaxACT.com, and it was cheap and fairly easy.  My Federal return has been accepted, and so has my Ohio return (Louisiana has not accepted mine yet because they are slow).  I would recommend this site to anyone.

So everything's turning out all right.  Or I hope it is...
