Why let him upset us? Caiaphas, let him be! All those imbiciles will see, he really doesn't matter.

Jesus is imporant. We've let him go is way before and while he starts a major war we theorize and chatter.

I still don't get why Judas got into Heaven after all the shit he did. Affirmative action, maybe?

Eternally eaten by Lucifer's three mouths are--from left to right--          Brutus, Judas, and Cassius (Inf. 34.61-7).
Judas, one of the twelve apostles, strikes a deal           to betray Jesus for thirty pieces of silver; he fulfills his           treacherous role--foreseen by Jesus at the Last Supper--when he later           identifies Jesus to the authorities with a kiss; regretting this           betrayal that will lead to Jesus' death, Judas returns the silver           and hangs himself (Matthew 26:14-16; 26:21-5; 26:47-9; 27:3-5).           Suffering even more than Brutus and Cassius, Dante's Judas is placed           head-first inside Lucifer's central mouth, with his back skinned by           the devil's claws (Inf. 34.58-63).

I'm talking about in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. Judas later appeared dressed in white singing with a bunch of angels.

He's talking about Jesus Christ Superstar.

At the end, Judas returns from heaven to sing and dance with everybody else.

edit: fuck, beaten.

Philisophically speaking (are we ruining the thread already? I guess we are.) it has been postulated that by betraying Jesus, Judas demonstrated the most insanely incredible moral courage of anybody by renouncing his place in the kingdom of heaven and suffering eternally in hell so that Jesus could die for everybody's sins as was intended, and, if, Judas was aware of that, going to heaven is something he could totally do possibly.

not my area of expertise or anything that's just what I heard

Not that I believe in the bible or anything, but that is actually pretty cool. Too me the Bible really seems like a story book that lets you use your imagination a lot.

Judas wasn't a villain at all, he betrayed Jesus but he repented inmediatly. Also a formal apostole.

Putting out that he is a disgrace for the christians is supremacist. Also judged by Matthew's reading.

Oh sorry I phail at knowing such facts

Prodigious insight there my good sir, as it is said in the Bible that jesus had to be crusified and that he knew this; Thus making judas his ticket to the cross and damning him in the process: Seeming as he could've redeemed him much like he redeemes many of the masses

almost every bit of literature that's more than a couple thousand years old is really cool, because it has to be to last that long
