There are many things much more complex than an Xbox that won't break as easy. This is also where a WARRANTY comes from.

This is ludicrously obvious, and your use of capitalization infers that you have the feeling that you are providing sage-like wisdom to the huddled masses. As in, that's being condescending.

They use parts they they KNOW will wear out in a certain amount of time, and so they have a warranty that lasts until that time.

Why do you think there are so many stories about products breaking after the warranty expires? Because they are designed like that on purpose so you go buy their next model!

It's more than possible that the condescending was a mistake on your part, and if so, then you should re-read your posts before submitting them.

I have had my 360 for almost 2 years and I bought it used off of eBay.  It has never had any problems and i got it before the Red Ring epidemic started.  I think it doesn't matter if it was used, what probably matters is when it was made.
