Teh 1st Evar Musical Challenge 2008

Basically, the music challenge is where we make musix with restrictions and enter them to be judged by a poll. This is the first one ever so I am probably gonna get a bit of abuse hurled at me but all shall be well eventually and I will have a go (attempting to) running this.

Genre/Theme: Insomnia
Time Length: 1 - 2min
Limitations: Must use at LEAST 1 real instrument track
Due date: 30th April - (this is debatable)

The songs can be purely instrumental or have singing and stuff too if you want.

You should have a couple awards. Like one for the song that best fits the genre and one for the best song overall and et cetera et cetera.

Its impossible to have something done in 1-2 minutes unless you're planning a sample edit of a song or some really fast thrash music. If you wanna do classic rock and get a good song, something that you can judge by styles and whatnot, you might wanna increase the limit to 1-3:50. That way you have more base to judge on.

Wait, why does it have to have a rock feel to it? Shouldn't it be open to all different styles of music. It might put some people off and keep them from participating.

Also, I will be a judge for these competitions and will start participating once I'm not busy with schoolwork.

There shouldn't be judges,should be an open poll. People have such varied tastes, that I doubt the judges would be able to truly judge properly.

also, classic rock n roll.... mine certainly won't have that kind of feel, and if I get disqualified, hell , I don't give a shiz!
