I'd at least like to be able to look at the profile of someone who's been banned to see the reason why they've been banned

We've wanted to have ban reasons given to us for the past year. The staff has something against letting us know though, their reason being "the person should already know how they got themselves banned and anyone else who wants to know can just ask them." I don't agree with that at all being that a lot of the bans given out are based solely on comments that held no significance to the person that actually SAID them.

Yeah but the reason flux said was given back when you could only see the ban list when logged in which was in the '05/'06 skin which is roughly when Flux joined.

The last time I was banned was also '06, haha. Sorry.

It's still a little silly that you have to log out to see why you're banned, but whatever. At least you can see it now.

WELL

I went into the settings for our grinder.  I didn't find a way to have a "grinder history," but I did find a "bans displayed per page option," set to 50.  It also came with the unexplained warning: "100 and up is NOT recommended."

Being the new rebellious teenage admin, I changed it to 150.

Right now, the grinder is still only showing 50 bans - I think that's because it is separate from the actual forum ban system, and can't access old bans - rather, it's just updated with every new ban we make.

I suppose there's one good way to test that theory..

edit: banned a bot, but it's still only showing the most recent 50. Curious!

edit#2:  spent more time exploring options, but can't figure out what's wrong.  I'll have to ask Leek about it.

I appreciate the effort, sucks that it isn't an easy fix, the clock crew really needs a rising of a magical coder/admin around about now.
